Throughout the year, there are numerous events, activities and festivals for you and your family to enjoy that are sure to peak your interest. The majority of these area events take place annually, however, there are new events being added continuously. For your convenience, we have sorted these events by the time of year that they occur.   • 1ST ANNUAL UPPER LAKE REDBUD FESTIVAL, Upper Lake Park
    Please consider supporting the Nothshore by attending the 1st Annual Redbud Festival.  This event is sponsored by Northshore Fire and Upper Lake Fire Auxiliaries and features a craft fair, music and even hamburgers, hot dogs, and sodas (provided by the Upper Lake Fire Volunteers).  Come out and enjoy the barbecue and do some local shopping right in the Upper Lake Park. 8 AM - 4 PM

  • Concerts with Conversation, Tallman Hotel, Upper Lake
    A three-course dinner with wine in the hotel dining room followed by an informal concert and dialog with the musicians in the adjacent Riffe's Meeting House.  A social hour in the parlor beginning at 5:30pm will enable you to meet the artists and other guests.  Dinner will be served at 6:15pm followed by the concert at 7:30pm.  Ten percent of the proceeds of this series will be donated to the Soper-Reese Community Theatre Fund for the creation of a state of the art performing arts center in Lakeport.  Tickets for individual concerts or for the entire series are available by calling the Tallman Hotel reservation desk.  Seating capacity is limited. The popular Lakeside Chamber Players will again conclude the Tallman Series.  Incomparable cellist and composer Clovice Lewis will be accompanied by flutist Catherine Hall and pianist Carolyn Hawley in selections of classical chamber pieces and original compositions that Clovice calls "Jazzical Music."

  • Catfish Derby, Clearlake Oaks
    26th annual event.  The Catfish Derby is the largest catfish tournament west of the Mississippi.  The tournament features separate divisions for adults and children.  Sponsored by the Clearlake Oaks Glenhaven Business Association.  Open to the public.

  • Wine Club Release Party and Concert in the Garden, Tulip Hill Winery, 4900 Barlett Springs Rd., Nice
    Tulip Hill Winery will host a Wine Club Release Party--introducing four new wines paired with Mexican food favorites.  This wine and food pairing is free to Wine Club Members ($5 to the general public) and is held from 1-5pm.  Then, Bill Noteman and the Rockets will be featured in the first in the series of five concerts (from 5 to 7pm) which will include wine and snacks.  Bring a picnic and a blanket and enjoy music in the garden.  Cost for the concert is $10 per person.

  • Well's Angels, Lampson Airfield, 4773 Highland Springs Road, just south of Lakeport
    Lakeside Wellness Foundation presents Well's Angels, a red carpet gala and Howard Hughes tribute.  Gourmet plated dinner, live band & dance, live and silent auctions, and antique cars at a Lampson Airfield hangar.  Black tie event with option to dress up as your favorite 40's and 50's star.

  • 17th Annual Car Roundup 2008, Library Park, Lakeport
    Presented by No Name Car Club and the Lakeport Regional Chamber of Commerce.  Participants may preregister on Friday for $35 and enjoy music provided by the L.C. Diamonds Band. 3 PM - 7 PM

  • 17th Annual Car Roundup 2008, Library Park, Lakeport
    Presented by the No Name Car Club and the Lakeport Regional Chamber of Commerce, this event includes food, entertainment, vendors, music and awards.  Held this year in conjunction with Wood and Glory X, attendees may enjoy viewing classic cars as well as wooden boats from the 1930s through the 1960s.  Registration is $35.  An awards ceremony follows the show at 2:30 p.m. This is a benefit for local charities.
